"FURTHER INSTRUCTION" for Tuesday: I had the class fold their hands like they were praying. The people with LEFT thumbs on top went to one side of the room, and the people with RIGHT thumbs on top went to the other side. below is a photo of the results of each period. Find your period. What is the ratio of LEFT to RIGHT (people with that thumb dominant)? What is the ratio of LEFT to TOTAL? If your period is a good sample...if it is representative of the entire school population, how many LEFT thumb-dominant people would there be if there are 430 students at Dalhart Jr. High School?
